"No."
"But Hitsugaya-kun!"
"I said NO!" Folding his arms over his chest, Hitsugaya Toushirou attempted to glare at his childhood friend, and failed miserably. The white-haired genius doubted anyone could glare at Hinamori when such a pitiful puppy-dog look had found its way onto her features. He doubted it highly. He couldn't even manage to correct her on his name when she was looking at him with such a face; how could he -glare- at her? He settled for scowling at the wall behind her ear.
Sighing, the dark haired Hinamori Momo brushed a lock of hair away from her face, putting her hands on her hips and looking down at her friend. He was so stubborn. "But Rangiku-san said you wanted dancing lessons!"
"Well I don't."
"Its not that hard, Hitsugaya-kun."
"I don't -want- dancing lessons. And that's Hitsugaya-taichou!"
Sighing, Hinamori pressed her fingertips against her forehead lightly. "He was fine a minute ago," she murmered to herself. Looking back to him, she gathered her determination, stepping towards him and grabbing one of his hands. "Its not that hard. You keep one hand here.." At this point, she shifted her fingers a bit, so he was gripping her hand, instead of the other way around. Despite any other urgings of his common sense, he didn't let go.
Grasping his other hand, the dark haired girl kept her attention on what she was doing, not noticing the crimson stain the white haired captain in front of her was trying, and failing, to supress. "And you put your other hand here." Hinamori gripped his wrist firmly, settling his hand at her waist. "See, that isn't so hard, is i---Eh?" Blinking, the girl peered at him closely. "Shiro-chan," she said increduously, "Are you blushing?" He jerked his hand away from her abruptly, -now- managing a glare at his friend. "No."
Blinking, now Hinamori's cheeks became a pale pink shade. "It isn't really that embarassing, Hitsugaya-kun! And besides, there isn't anyone else around." At this point, the white-haired captain looked back at her...unfortunately for him. Once again, the dark haired girl's doe-brown eyes held an irresistable pleading look in them. He muttered something about 'stupid Matsumoto' under his breath before stepping towards her again. He stiffly took one of her hands, and put his other hand carefully on her waist, exhaling. "Now what?"
Smiling, the taller female demonstrated what he was supposed to do, leading him, then stopped, indicating for him to try. Once again, the genius captain exhaled before imitating what she had just shown him. It was somewhat fortunate that he picked up on such things quickly; had he messed up, it would have unnerved him to no end when the other beings who had stealthily snuck into the room saw him do so.
Not that he noticed the other prescences in the room. No, Hitsugaya was fully preoccupied with what he was doing. He and the dark haired girl he was dancing with had naturally fallen into a perfect rhythm with the music playing.
...Wait a minute. Since when had music been playing? Had it been playing the whole time? No, he was certain it hadn't. That could only mean.....
Dammit.
Flash.
The white haired captain's head snapped up immediately; it took his partner a moment to snap to attention as well; when she did, she yelped, a blush staining her cheeks. "R-rangiku-san! Abarai-kun!" Surely enough, two of her fellow vice-captains were standing there, grinning in satisfaction. In Matsumoto's hand was a camera, and the picture that had come out of it. Renji burst into laughter first; the blonde with him just kept grinning. "Ahh, what a great picture! You two looked so cute. You were paying so much attention to each other, you didn't even notice us come in." Wiggling the camera between her fingertips, the tenth division vice-captain looked towards Renji.
"We probably could have shouted on our way in, and they wouldn't have noticed us; don't you think Ren--" Hmm...was it just her, or had the temperature in the room suddenly dropped several degrees?
Not a good sign.
Matsumoto and her red-haired partner-in-crime both cringed, looking towards the white-haired captain. Seeing as they had to put up with the captains who were least fond of such stupidity, Renji and Matsumoto had -very- good survival instincts. Right now, those instincts said 'run the hell away.'
"Wellll~! If you'll excuse us, Momo-chan!" And they were gone. They weren't going to get off the hook -that- easily though. Hinamori doubted they expected too.
"MATSUMOTO!!!!"
And thus, Hinamori was left standing in the room by herself. Picking up the photograph that the blonde vice-captain had dropped in her haste to escape her captain's wrath, Hinamori blinked lightly. Brushing her hair away from her face, she smiled.
"Hinamori-kun?"
Squeaking, the vice-captain shoved the photograph into her uniform, whirling around. "A-Aizen-taichou! What are you doing here?" The taller man smiled. "I could ask you the same thing, Hinamori-kun. What are you doing here?"
Resting her fingertips lightly over the photograph hidden in her uniform, she smiled lightly. "Oh..nothing." She wouldn't tell anyone; without proof, she doubted anyone would believe Matsumoto or Renji either.
After all, what was easy to believe about the youngest captain of the Gotei 13, the genius tenth division captain Hitsugaya Toushirou dancing, even with his childhood friend?
Or, Hinamori thought, blushing faintly as her taichou turned to leave the room and she pulled the photograph out again.
Or, who would believe someone saying the stoic captain had snuck a kiss from his childhood friend, while getting dancing lessons that he had claimed he had no interest in?
Hinamori Momo knew she wouldn't.
